Fujairah authorities announced a ban on camping in the region to curb the spread of COVID-19.

The Crises, Emergencies and Disasters Management Committee in Fujairah has banned all types of camps, including tents and caravans, across the emirate. It means that camps including tents, caravans, and others will be banned in all cities and regions in Fujairah.

This measure was introduced as part of the precautionary and preventive measures to curb the spread of the COVID-19 in light of the continuing pandemic. The Fujairah’s emergency team urged that this decision is aimed at strengthening the efforts on preserving the health and safety of citizens.

It was noted that those who fail to abide by the decision, will face a penalty, and the concerned authorities will remove the camps and refer violators to the competent authorities.

For those enthusiasts from across the country who would like to try camping, it was permitted in Ras Al Khaimah with adherence of mandatory social distancing and the use of masks in public spaces.
