The UAE Ministry of Cabinet Affairs and the Future announced that UAE Flag Day celebrations will take place on the 2nd of November, 2017 instead of November 3.

Flag Day is a national campaign, which was launched by Vice President and Ruler of Dubai, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid, in November 2013 to commemorate the accession of Sheikh Khalifa as President of the nation.

The Government called on all ministries, federal bodies, and their affiliates to raise the UAE flag at 11:00 AM as a show of unity, patriotism, and loyalty to the Emirates and its leadership, and solidarity with the values of the union established by the country’s Founding Fathers.

All people will be able to see flags all over the place – in shopping malls, on people’s houses and cars.

Flag Day isn’t a public holiday (so no days off work), but it’s a very special occasion and it means just one month left until the National Day public holiday.
