Lea Belmont is a novelist. Victor Pontier is an editor. She is idealistic and seductive. He is cynical and arrogant. But if tonight they have dinner together, it is because the beautiful Lea absolutely needs money for an operation for her seriously ill son, and the only publisher willing to publish her work is Victor Pontier.
He is ready to publish her … but under a certain condition.
